Dhumavati Ashtak Stotra (धूमावती अष्टक स्तोत्र): Dhumavati Ashtak Stotra of Goddess Dhumavati is highly respected in the context of enemy-mitigation, mitigation of obstacle and destruction of evil planets and poverty. The seeker who keeps the text of this psalm in three nights with a concentrated and devoted spirit, his enemy remains silent watching him. His good fortune emerges and pride of the enemy is broken. The biggest thing is that Bhagawati gets the grace and perseverance of Bhagawati that good fortune.

According to Devi Bhagavata Mahapuran, she is the one who created the universe, the one preserving it and the one who will destroy it. Her avatars are worshipped to acquire all sorts of power and knowledge. The deities include Kali, Tara, Shodhashi, Bhuvaneshwari, Bhairavi, Chinnamasta, Dhumavati, Bagalamukhi, Matangi, and Kamala. The ideal way to devote to these deities is to indulge oneself in Sadhana or Meditation through the medium of Yantra and Stotra.

Dhumavati is the seventh form of Adi Prashakti. She is known to represent death, hunger, poverty, disease and all other sorts of negativeness and in-auspiciousness. A strange legend from Pranatoshini Tantra explains her origin. Dhumavati, previously known as Devi Sati, was the first wife of Lord Shiva. Once, she asked Shiva to get her something to eat. As they were in the Himalayas, he wasn’t able to fulfill her wish. Out of extreme hunger, she engulfed Shiva itself, and by doing so, she widowed herself.

The Ten Mahavidyas namely Mahakali, Tara, Chinnamasta, Bhuvaneshwari, Bagalamukhi, Dhumavati, Tripur Sundari, Matangi, Shodhashi and Tripur Bhairavi are regarded as the Ten Shakti of Bhagawati Parvati. Among Ten Mahavidyas, Five are of Satvik Bhav and another Five are of Taamasik Bhav or Tantrokta Bhav. Mahavidya Dhumavati is described as very furious, fearing and active Goddess among Ten Mahavidyas. She is tall and grim, pallid, agitated and slovenly. स्कन्धे कृत्वोरगेन्द्र ध्वज निकर युतं ब्रह्म कङ्काल भारम्।

संहारे धारयन्ती मम हरतु भयं भद्रदा भद्र काली ।।5।।

तैलोभ्यक्तैक वेणी त्रयु मय विलसत् कर्णिकाक्रान्त कर्णा।

लोहेनैकेन् कृत्वा चरण नलिन कामात्मन: पाद शोभाम्।।

दिग् वासा रासभेन ग्रसती जगादिदं या जवा कर्ण पुरा-

वर्षिण्युर्ध्व प्रब्रिद्धा ध्वज वितत भुजा साSसी देवी त्वमेव।।6।।

संग्रामे हेती कृत्तै: स रुधिर दर्शनैर्यद् भटानां शिरोभी-

र्मालामाबध्य मुर्घ्नी ध्वज वितत भुजा त्वं श्मशाने प्रविष्टा।।

दृंष्ट्वा भुतै: प्रभुतै: प्रिथु जघन घना बद्ध नागेन्द्र कान्ञ्ची-

शुलाग्र व्यग्र हस्ता मधु रुधिर मदा ताम्र नेत्रा निशायाम्।।7।।

दंष्ट्रा रौद्रे मुखे स्मिंस्तव विशती जगद् देवी! सर्व क्षणार्ध्दात्सं

सारस्यान्त काले नर रुधिर वसा सम्प्लवे धुम धुम्रे।।

काली कापालिकी त्वं शव शयन रता योगिनी योग मुद्रा।

रक्त्ता ॠद्धी कुमारी मरण भव हरा त्वं शिवा चण्ड धण्टा।।8।।

य: पठेत् साधको भक्तया, सिद्धीं विन्दती वंदिताम्।।1।।

शत्रुच्चाटे मारणादौ, जन्तुनां मोहने तथा।।2।।

पठेत् स्तोत्रमिदं देवी! सर्वत्र सिद्धी भाग् भवेत्।

देव दानव गन्धर्व यक्ष राक्षरा पन्नगा: ।।3।।

सिंह व्याघ्रदिका: सर्वे स्तोत्र स्मरण मात्रत:।

दुराद् दुर तरं यान्ती किं पुनर्मानुषादय:।।4।।

स्तोत्रेणानेन देवेशी! किं न सिद्धयती भु तले।

श्री महादेव उवाच:

पूर्व-पीठिका:

अमायां वा चतुर्दश्यामष्टम्यां वा दिन-क्षये।

नवम्यां रजनी-योगे, योजयेद् भैरवी-मनुम्॥

क्षेत्रेऽस्मिन् प्रयतो भूत्वा, निर्भयः साहसं वहन्।

तस्य साक्षाद् भगवती, प्रत्यक्षं जायते ध्रुवम्॥

आत्म-संरक्षणार्थाय, मन्त्र-संसिद्धयेऽपि च।

यः पठेत् कवचं देव्यास्ततो भीतिर्न जायते॥

तस्मात् पूर्वं विधायैवं, रक्षां सावहितो नरः।

प्रजपेत् स्वेष्ट-मन्त्रस्तु, निर्भीतो मुनि-सत्तम॥

नारद उवाच:

              कवचं कीदृशं देव्या, महा-भय-निवर्तकम्।

कामाख्यायास्तु तद् ब्रूहि, साम्प्रतं मे महेश्वर॥

श्री महादेव उवाच:

श्रृणुष्व परमं गुह्यं, महा-भय-निवर्तकम्।

कामाख्यायाः सुर-श्रेष्ठ, कवचं सर्व-मंगलम्॥

यस्य स्मरण-मात्रेण, योगिनी-डाकिनी-गणाः।

राक्षस्यो विघ्न-कारिण्यो।

याश्चात्म – विघ्नकारिकाः॥

क्षुत्-पिपासा तथा निद्रा, तथाऽन्ये ये विघ्नदाः।

दूरादपि पलायन्ते, कवचस्य प्रसादतः॥

निर्भयो जायते मर्त्यस्तेजस्वी भैरवोपमः।

समासक्तमनासक्तमनाश्चापि, जपहोमादिकर्मसु॥

भवेच्च मन्त्र-तन्त्राणां, निर्विघ्नेन सु-सिद्धये॥

अथ कवचम्:

ॐ प्राच्यां रक्षतु मे तारा, कामरुप-निवासिनी।

आग्नेय्यांषोडशी पातु, याम्यां धूमावती स्वयम्॥

नैऋत्यां भैरवी पातु, वारुण्यां भुवनेश्वरी।

वायव्यां सततं पातु, छिन्न-मस्ता महेश्वरी॥

कौबेर्यां पातु मे नित्यं, श्रीविद्या बगला-मुखी।

ऐशान्यां पातु मे नित्यं, महा-त्रिपुर-सुन्दरी॥

ऊर्ध्वं रक्षतु मे विद्या, मातंगी पीठ-वासिनी।

सर्वतःपातुमे नित्यं, कामाख्या-कालिका स्वयम्॥

ब्रह्म-रुपा महाविद्या, सर्वविद्यामयी-स्वयम्।

शीर्षे रक्षतु मे दुर्गा, भालं श्री भव-मोहिनी॥

त्रिपुरा भ्रू-युगे पातु, शर्वाणी पातु नासिकाम्।

चक्षुषी चण्डिका पातु, श्रोत्रे नील-सरस्वती॥

मुखं सौम्य-मुखी पातु, ग्रीवां रक्षतु पार्वती।

जिह्वां रक्षतु मे देवी, जिह्वा ललन-भीषणा॥

वाग्-देवी वदनं पातु, वक्षः पातु महेश्वरी।

बाहू महा-भुजा पातु, करांगुलीः सुरेश्वरी॥

पृष्ठतः पातु भीमास्या, कट्यां देवी दिगम्बरी।

उदरं पातु मे नित्यं, महाविद्या महोदरी॥

उग्रतारा महादेवी, जंघोरु परि-रक्षतु।

गुदं मुष्कं च मेढ्रं च, नाभिं चसुर-सुन्दरी॥

पदांगुलीः सदा पातु, भवानी त्रिदशेश्वरी।

रक्त-मांसास्थि-मज्जादीन्, पातु देवी शवासना॥

महा-भयेषु घोरेषु, महा-भय-निवारिणी।

पातु देवी महा-माया, कामाख्या पीठ-वासिनी॥

भस्माचल-गता दिव्य-सिंहासन-कृताश्रया।

पातु श्रीकालिका देवी, सर्वोत्पातेषु सर्वदा॥

रक्षा-हीनं तु यत् स्थानं, कवचेनापि वर्जितम्।

तत् सर्वं सर्वदा पातु, सर्व-रक्षण-कारिणी॥

फल-श्रुति:

इदं तु परमं गुह्यं, कवचं मुनि-सत्तम।

कामाख्यायामयोक्तं ते सर्व-रक्षा-करं परम्॥

अनेन कृत्वा रक्षां तु, निर्भयः साधको भवेत्।

न तं स्पृशेद् भयं घोरं, मन्त्र-सिद्धि-विरोधकम्॥

जायते च मनः-सिद्धिर्निर्विघ्नेन महा-मते।

इदं यो धारयेत् कण्ठे, बाही वा कवचं महत्॥

अव्याहताज्ञः स भवेत्, सर्व-विद्या-विशारदः।

सर्वत्र लभते सौख्यं, मंगलं तु दिने-दिने॥

यः पठेत् प्रयतो भूत्वा, कवचं चेदमद्भुतम्।

स देव्याः दवीं याति, सत्यं सत्यं न संशयः॥

वैरिनाशकरं दिव्यं सर्वाऽशुभविनाशकम्। शुभदं स्मरणात्पुण्यं त्राहि मां दु:ख-नाशनम्।।

श्री भैरव उवाच  

कवच श्रृणु वक्ष्यामि भैरवि । प्राणवल्लभम् । पठित्वा धारयित्वा तु त्रैलोक्ये विजयी भवेत्।।

विनियोग 

ॐ अस्य श्री बगलामुखीकवचस्य नारद ऋषि: अनुष्टुप्छन्द: श्रीबगलामुखी देवता। ह्रीं बीजम्। ऐं कीलकम्। पुरुषार्थचतुष्टयसिद्धये जपे विनियोग:।।

अथ कवचम् 

शिरो मे बागला पातु ह्रदयैकक्षरी परा ।ॐ ह्रीं ॐ मे ललाटे च बगला वैरिनाशिनी।।

गदाहस्ता सदा पातु मुखं मे मोक्षदायिनी। वैरि जिह्राधरा पातु कण्ठं मे बगलामुखी।।

उदरं नाभिदेंश च पातु नित्यं परात्परा। परात्परतरा पातु मम गुह्रं सुरेश्वरी।।

हस्तौ चैव तथा पादौ पार्वती परिपातु मे। विवादे विषमे घोरे संग्रामे रिपुसंकटे।।

पीताम्बरधरा पातु सर्वांगं शिवंनर्तकी। श्रीविद्या समयं पातु मातंगी पूरिता शिवा।।

पातु पुत्रीं सूतञचैव कलत्रं कलिका मम। पातु नित्यं भ्रातरं मे पितरं शूलिनी सदा।।

रंध्रं हि बगलादेव्या: कवचं सन्मुखोदितम्। न वै देयममुख्याय सर्वसिद्धि प्रदायकम्।।

पठनाद्धारणादस्य पूजनादवांछितं लभेत्। इंद कवचमज्ञात्वा यो जपेद् बगलामुखीय।।

पिबन्ति शोणितं तस्य योगिन्य: प्राप्य सादरा: । वश्ये चाकर्षणे चैव मारणे मोहने तथा।।

महाभये विपतौ च पठेद्वरा पाठयेतु य:। तस्य सर्वार्थसिद्धि:। स्याद् भक्तियुक्तस्य पार्वति।।

Many sadhaks do apsara sadhana and they are not successful in getting darshan of apsara.It is not that easy to get apsara appear infront of you.There are many mistakes which sadhaks do which becomes the reason for their failure in apsara sadhana.Then they start blaming,all these sadhanas are fraud.Here are some of the most common mistakes that sadhak do during apsara sadhana 

1)Sadhak should have done anushthan of guru Mantra or dashmahavidya mantra before starting apsara sadhana 

2)There may be pitra dosh in sadhak's janam kundli.If it is so then first do pitra dosh nivaran sadhana.

3)Grah dosh or bad effect of planets in your birth chart.Your planets should be in your favourable positions to get success in any kind of sadhana
